Sheffield Wednesday chairman Milan Mandaric believes a deal will eventually happen to take defender Tommy Spurr to Doncaster Rovers.

Speaking in the Sheffield Star , Mandaric believes that Spurr is on the verge of signing for Rovers in a deal worth around £200,000.

Rovers have been linked with the left back, after he fell out of favour with manager Gary Megson after his arrival at Hillsborough in February.

The 23 year old has been a regular in the Wednesday side since making his debut at 18 and as now made over 200 appearances.
