Doncaster Rovers have been boosted by the return to training of striker Billy Sharp.

Sharp joined in training today with the rest of the squad and assistant manager Richard O`Kelly says he could be back as quickly as next Tuesday for the home clash with Hull City.

Speaking on the official website, O`Kelly said, “He joined in training today and will do so over the next couple of days, I can`t see no reason why he won`t be available for Tuesday or maybe the following Saturday.”

The clubs leading goalscorer for the past two seasons was expected to be out longer after suffering ligament damage on the opening day of the season at Brighton.

Sharp scored on the opening day but the side have struggled for goals in his absence, netting just once in the championship since.
