Doncaster Rovers boss Dean Saunders says the side need to get a winning run going.

Rovers are still bottom of the championship, eight points from safety and they face their toughest game of the season when table toppers Southampton visit the Keepmoat on Saturday.

Saunders is hoping that his team can start winning on a more regular basis and he is not prepared to sit back and accept defeat.

Speaking on the official website, Saunders said, “We`ve got some good players and I want the team to win, I`m not going to sit back and accept not getting results because I think we can. We need wins and we need to get on a run.”

Rovers have picked up twelve points from twelve games since Saunders arrived towards the end of September.

The home forms been the main problem for Saunders with them recording just one win at the Keepmoat since his arrival.
