Doncaster Rovers boss Dean Saunders is hoping the side can continue with the fighting spirit they have shown in their recent away games when they travel to Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Rovers picked up their first point on the road in seven games when they drew 0-0 at Hull City last time out.

This followed a stirring second half performance at Bristol City, which saw them two down just past the half hour before eventually losing 2-1.

Saunders is now hoping they can take this into the game at Crystal Palace as they continue their fight against relegation.

Speaking in the Doncaster Free Press, Saunders said, “The fighting spirit was there for everyone to see at Hull, and at Bristol City after we went down to ten men.

“The lads have got to keep that going at Palace – they`re a solid, well-organised team and they don`t concede many goals.”

Rovers have won just twice on their travels this season and know that they must improve their away form to have a realistic chance of staving off relegation.
