Dean Saunders says it is now down to striker Billy Sharp whether he joins Leicester City after the two clubs agreed a fee.

Leicester have bid enough to trigger a clause in Sharp`s contract allowing him to talk with another club and although the fee is agreed, Saunders says there is still some work to be done before he leaves the Keepmoat.

Speaking on Radio Sheffield, Saunders said, “We have agreed a fee with Leicester so now it is down to Billy.

“It is still not done and dusted and he has got to agree things and there is a bit of work to be done yet.”

Sharp played no part in the FA Cup defeat to Notts County on Saturday because the two clubs had agreed a fee.

The striker has netted ten times in eighteen appearances for Rovers this season and he has also been linked with West Ham, Wigan Athletic, Stoke City and West Brom in recent weeks.

Sharp has already turned his back on a move away from the Keepmoat once, when he turned down a move to Southampton in the summer after the two clubs had agreed a fee.
