Doncaster Rovers boss Dean Saunders was pleased with his side`s performance in the 3-2 win at Ipswich Town.

Speaking on Radio Sheffield, Saunders said, “We were excellent first half, we were 3-0 up and we could have been five or six nil up. We scored three great goals but we let them back in. They came out second half and threw everything at us, we conceded a goal and we have to stop doing that.
“We scored three great goals today and I am really pleased.”

Doncaster raced into a three goal half time lead thanks to two strikes from new signing El Hadji Diouf and another from Billy Sharp.

Ipswich fought back in the second half to make it 3-2 but they couldn`t deny Doncaster their first win in six games.

Despite the win Doncaster remain bottom of the championship table, five points from safety.
