Doncaster Rovers boss Dean Saunders is talking to experienced defender Habib Beye about a new deal at the club.

The defender signed for Rovers last season and he was a regular in the side.

He made 23 appearances for the club after initially joining on loan from Aston Villa in November.

He signed an eighteen-month contract in February after being released by the Premier League club.

The deal to bring him to the Keepmoat included a get out clause if Rovers were relegated from the championship.

Beye struggled with his disciplinary record whilst at the Keepmoat last season, serving three suspensions.

He collected five yellow cards in his first seven appearances and he was also sent off twice against Bristol City and Portsmouth.
