Doncaster Rovers manager Dean Saunders says he only wants players at the club who are willing to work hard.

Saunders joined the club six weeks ago and after enjoying something of a honeymoon period, when Doncaster picked up seven points from his first three games in charge, they have now gone five games without a win, picking up just one point in the process.

The former Wrexham boss can now see an improvement in the side and believes they are working much harder. Talking on the official website, Saunders said, “I can see it coming together here. The pace of training has gone up massively from testimonial to world cup final standard.
“Eventually there will be nobody here that won`t work hard.”

Doncaster travel to Ipswich Town on Saturday. Doncaster are currently sitting at the bottom of championship table again following their midweek defeat against Middlesbrough.

Saunders will be hoping to see his side secure a rare three points before heading into the international break next week.
