Doncaster Rovers chairman John Ryan is taking legal advise after being beaten for a place on the FA council.

John Ryan is unhappy and claims that Barnsley`s Barry Taylor broke FA rules by sending out literature and photocopied ballot papers supporting his own campaign for the post

Ryan lost out 9-8 on votes and said in the Mirror that “In my view it wasn’t a fair election and the vote should be taken again, especially as it was so close.”

The Rovers chairman has complained to the FA and is awaiting their response to see whether he will need to take legal action or not.
