Doncaster Rovers chairman John Ryan now says that Sean O`Driscoll has been in talks with Sheffield United just 24 hours after saying there had been no contact.

Speaking on Sky Sports News, Ryan said, “I believe he has had some talks with them, but I am very confident he will stay with us.
“When he (O`Driscoll) looks at the pros and cons I am very hopeful that he will come down on our side, but of course you never know.”

Ryan was also annoyed about the fact that Sheffield United don`t intend to name a new manager until the New Year, “It`s a bit annoying because really Sheffield United should have either got on with it or forgotten about it.” He continued.

So it seems that this one could rumble on for a while yet and it could make for an interesting clash between the two sides when they meet at Bramall Lane on January 3rd.
