Doncaster Rovers chairman John Ryan says the club will expect to have a new manager in place within the next two weeks.
Rovers have started their search for a new manager after Brian Flynn, who led them to the League One title last weekend, decided he no longer wanted to be considered for the job on a permanent basis.
Ryan says the club received a number of high profile enquiries to replace Dean Saunders when he left the club in January and he is expecting more to come forward now that Flynn is stepping aside.
Speaking on Sky Sports News, Ryan said,“We had some great CV`s earlier in the season and I am sure we will get one or two more.
“We will then draw up a shortlist. I am now off to Majorca for ten days. We will then have two or three of us sit on an interview panel and then we will make a decision.
“I am hopeful we will have a manager in within two weeks.”
The new manager will look to build a squad strong enough to compete in the Championship following their promotion last week.
Rovers have just eight senior players in contract ahead of next season and the new manager will face the task of sorting out deals to keep the players he would like to see remain at the Keepmoat as well as those he will like to offload.
