Doncaster Rovers duo Brian Stock and Matt Mills are now rumoured to be an £8 million pound transfer target of Birmingham City.
John Ryan was quick to quash the rumours saying it`s the first he`d heard of any of it.
Speaking in the Sheffield Star Ryan said ‘If Birmingham offered that amount of money for the two of them, we`d snatch their hands off. But, as far as I am concerned, there is no such offer in the pipeline.’
Matt Mills has long been a target of the newly promoted to the Premiership side but now it seems that Blues boss Alex McLeish has also taken a shine to the Rovers skipper, Brian Stock.
Rovers have also been quick to deny any link with Stock to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Ryan spoke on Radio Sheffield and said ‘We have a very friendly relationship with Wolves. If they were interested in Brian Stock they’d ring us up.’
Rovers have not received a fresh bid from Leicester City for fellow midfielder Richie Wellens after turning down an initial £1 million pound bid last week.
