Doncaster Rovers have been awarded the fair play league in the Championship for the 2009/10 season by the Football League.

Rovers had the best disciplinary record by some distance for the season, receiving only 35 yellow cards and 3 reds.

What makes it more remarkable is two of the red cards were received in the same game at Scunthorpe back in Spetember.

Rovers boss Sean O`Driscoll was quick to commend his players discipline, speaking on the official website he said, “Great credit must go to the players for not only being competitive in what is the most demanding of divisions, but by doing it in a fair and respectful way.”

Representatives of the club will be at this weekends FA Cup final to receive the award.
