Doncaster Rovers will kick off their pre season with a friendly at local side Armthorpe Welfare.

Rovers return for pres season training on July 4th and will travel to Church Street to face the Northern Counties East league during their first week back.

Boss Sean O`Driscoll is likely to take his full squad as part of their pre season preparation ahead of the 2011/12 season.

The club have started their pre season against a local side in recent seasons and started at Askern Villa last season.

It will be the second time in three seasons that Rovers have started at Armthorpe. Rovers won there in 2009 3-2 thanks to goals from Paul Heffernan, Lewis Guy and a late penalty from James Hayter.

Rovers have yet to release their pre season programme; although it is reported that they will travel to both Carlisle United and Grimsby Town.
