Doncaster Rovers have signed striker Sam McMahon from Glasgow Rangers.

The 17-year-old striker has signed for Rovers on a short-term professional contract until the end of the season subject to international clearance.

McMahon will feature for the youth side as well as train with the first team.

Rovers have also taken the option to extend the deal for a further year if McMahon impresses between now and the end of the season.

McMahon spent seven years with Burnley, coming through the clubs academy before signing for Rangers in 2010.

The youngster has been a regular on the bench for the under 19`s at Rangers this season.
