Doncaster Rovers have signed Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Carl Ikeme on loan.

The 25 year old has signed on at the Keepmoat until January 4th, subject to clearance.

Rovers are short of cover at the moment with only veteran goalkeeper Neil Sullivan the only fit, experienced keeper at the club.

Gary Woods, who started the season in goal, is currently out with a shoulder injury and Chris Kirkland who joined on loan in October, returned to parent club Wigan Athletic after only one game, after a reoccurrence of a back injury.

Ikeme has already had a period on loan at fellow championship side Middlesbrough earlier in the season.

He started the season with the Riverside club playing ten games. They remained unbeaten during his spell, where he also kept six clean sheets in his ten games.
