Doncaster Rovers have signed Paul Keegan on a short-term contract subject to international clearance.

The midfielder joins from League of Ireland side Bohemians, after enjoying a successful trial spell at the Keepmoat towards the end of last year.

The central midfielder enjoyed four years at Drogheda United, where he helped them to the league title in 2007.

The 26 year old signed for Bohemians from Drogheda in 2009 and helped the club to back-to-back title successes.

Keegan has represented Republic of Ireland at youth, under 21 and 23 levels where he also captained the sides.

He joins Matt Kilgallon as the second player to sign for Rovers since the January transfer window opened.

Keegan will wear the number 30 shirt when the club receive international clearance.
