Doncaster Rovers have continued their signing spree under new boss Dean Saunders with the capture of goalkeeper Chris Kirkland.

The goalkeeper has signed on loan until the New Year from Wigan Athletic and he will go straight into the squad for Friday night`s game with Leeds United.

The 30 year old is an experienced Premier League goalkeeper having played for Coventry City, Liverpool, West Brom and Wigan Athletic and he has also made one appearance for England in 2006.

Kirkland joins Pascal Chimbonda and Herita Ilunga in signing for Rovers since the arrival of Dean Saunders.
