Doncaster Rovers are the latest club to show an interest in Leeds want away striker Jermaine Beckford.

Rovers who had an approach for Leeds midfielder Neil Kilkenny turned down earlier this week may now turn their interest to the leading goalscorer in the Football League last season in all competitions.

Rovers assistant manager Richard O`Kelly speaking on the Doncaster Rovers official website said “We would be interested in Beckford after we heard he was available but he might be out of our budget.”

With Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Coventry also reported to be interested Rovers face very stiff competition in bringing the forward to The Keepmoat.
