Doncaster Rovers drew their first pre season game 1-1 against local North East counties league side Armthorpe Welfare.

Sean O`Driscoll gave all his fit squad members a run out with a large number of trailists on show.

In a testimonial game for former Rovers player Des Bennett, eight trialists were involved in the game for Rovers

Martin Devaney, who is on trial from Barnsley, opened the scoring for Rovers with just three minutes remaining.

His long range shot, slipping through the hands of the Armthorpe goalkeeper.

Armthorpe equalised almost immediately when Lee Pearson tapped in.


Doncaster Rovers first half:
Sullivan, Hird, Deeney, Bouhenna, Friend, Baxendale, Dyer, Coppinger, Gillett, Hayter, Dixon.

Doncaster Rovers second half:
Sullivan, Spurr, Devaney, Trialist, Trotman, Oster, Summerfield, McDonald, Fairhurst, Vine, Bennett.
