Doncaster have confirmed that they are interested in bringing Oldham Athletic striker Lee Hughes to The Keepmoat.

Hughes who was given a chance to get back into football after serving a prison sentence with Oldham is believed to have a buy out clause if any club comes in with an offer around the £400,000 mark.

Rovers are unlikely to want to spend that amount of cash so cash plus Darren Byfield who is currently on loan at the Latics could be an option.

Rovers have had problems all season scoring goals have managed six goals in their last two games so some of the pressure as been lifted but Rovers do desperately need to strengthen in that area.

Steve Brooker who we have on loan from Bristol City is still recovering from the calf problem he sustained during his first week with the club so Rovers are looking elsewhere to strengthen although it would be nice to sign the pair of them.
