Doncaster Rovers are hopeful that Habib Beye will complete his move to the Keepmoat today but are doubtful over a move to bring in West Ham United striker Frederic Piquione.
Beye is a free agent after being released by Aston Villa last week. The defender spent two months on loan at the Keepmoat before returning to Villa last week.
The 34 year old made ten appearances for Rovers and he is currently in the process of serving a three-match suspension for his sending off at Bristol City in January.
Rovers have admitted that a move to bring in Piquione from West Ham looks doubtful after being in talks with the club and player this week.
The 33 year old has seen his chances limited at West Ham this season and he looks to be even further down the pecking order at Upton Park following the signings of strikers Ricardo Vaz Te and Nicky Maynard on transfer deadline day last week.
He has made 21 appearances for West Ham this season, scoring just two goals and he has featured just once so far in 2012.
The news regarding the deals have been broken on the clubs official twitter feed.
