Doncaster Rovers have cancelled their pre-season friendly at Kidderminster Harriers this weekend.

Doncaster have taken the decision following the recent run of injuries to the squad. Four players were forced to leave the field through injury in the friendly with Newcastle United on Wednesday night. Harry Middleton, Craig Alcock and Joseph McCormick are all going to miss the start of the season with their injuries and Joe Wright suffered a reoccurrence of a toe injury.

Aaron Taylor-Sinclair and Mathieu Baudry are already missing the start of the season through injury whilst Gary McSheffrey and Paul Keegan are still sidelined having missed most of pre-season.

Doncaster have offered to play Kidderminster in a pre-season friendly next season following the announcement today.

The planned clash at York City on Tuesday night is still expected to go ahead.
