Doncaster Rovers face a defensive crisis ahead of the trip to Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday night.

Shelton Martis picked up a groin injury in the win over Brentford on Saturday and fellow defender Rob Jones suffered a broken thumb in the same game.

Jamie McCombe is already a long-term absentee and James Husband missed the game on Saturday through injury.

Paul Quinn was a doubt for the game on Saturday after picking up a knock at Hartlepool the previous weekend but past a fitness test to play.

The injuries leave Rovers boss Dean Saunders with just Tommy Spurr in defence with first team experience fully fit for the game at Tranmere.

Saunders says he is looking to sign a player before the game on Tuesday night from the Premier League.
