Doncaster Rovers have denied turning down a second bid from fellow championship side Ipswich Town for James Coppinger.

Reports at the weekend suggested that Ipswich had come in with an improved £400,000 bid after their initial bid of £300,000 was turned down.

A spokesperson for Rovers told the Doncaster Star that they had received no further bids for the clubs longest serving player.

Coppinger stated last week in an interview that he was looking forward to returning to training with Rovers in just over a week`s time.
