Doncaster Rovers will not appeal against the red card shown to Adam Lockwood at Barnsley on Saturday.

Rovers decided not to appeal to the FA after reviewing video evidence of the incident.

The defender was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Steve Foster and at the time Rovers boss Dean Saunders claimed the referee, Kevin Friend hadn`t seen the incident, but had reacted to the Barnsley crowd.

Lockwood came off the bench to replace the injured Shelton Martis.

He was making his first appearance for Doncaster since January having been out through injury.

Lockwood will now serve a three-match suspension, starting with the home game against Watford on Saturday.
