Doncaster Rovers are lining up a move for Rochdale defender Tom Kennedy according to reports on SkySports.com.

Kennedy started his career at Bury making over 150 appearances before joining Rochdale in 2007 on a two-year contract.

The 24 year-old was included in the PFA League Two team of the year in the 2008/09 and was also the clubs Player of the year as Rochdale made the end of season play offs and earned him an extra twelve months on his contract.

The left back was once again included in the PFA League Two team of the year for the 2009/10 season and helped Rochdale clinch promotion to League One.

Kennedy, the nephew of former Liverpool left back Alan Kennedy is out of contract at the end of this season at Rochdale.
