Reports suggest that Doncaster Rovers are to make a move for Sheffield Wednesday striker Gary Madine on loan.

Rovers boss Brian Flynn is desperate to add to his attacking options with Chris Brown ruled out this week for a minimum of four weeks through injury.

Fellow striker Iain Hume is only just returning to fitness after a month out through injury and Flynn is wanting someone to come in to and strengthen an attack that has scored just one goal in their last three games.

Madine is down the pecking order at Hillsborough after the arrival of Leroy Lita in the January transfer window and Sunderland striker Connor Wickham joined on loan last week.

The 22-year-old has netted just three times this season in twenty-eight appearances and he has started just one game in 2013.

Rovers will be hoping that if Madine does arrive at the Keepmoat he can have a similar impact in League One to the one he had with Sheffield Wednesday last season. Madine hit 18 goals last season in all competitions as Wednesday returned to the championship.
