Rovers entertained Derby County hoping to get back to winning ways after last weeks disappointment at Swansea.

Rovers made three changes from the side that lost that game, in came Roberts, Mills and Wilson in place of ‘Connor, Van Nieuwstadt and Wellens.

The home side enjoyed much of the first half with chances falling to Heffernan, Stock and Woods.
Rovers claimed a goal when Derby keeper Bywater looked like he`d carried the ball over the line but the referee waved away the protests.
Derby`s best chance fell to Teale but his long range shot was straight at Sullivan.

Derby took the lead in the first five minutes of the second half, Robbie Savage`s twenty yard free kick gave Sullivan no chance.

This did not dishearten Rovers and they got straight back at Derby, Heffernan got his head to a Wilson cross and he gave Bywater no chance.

Rovers took the lead with just under twenty minutes left when Mark Wilson`s long range shot found the back of the net.

The home side continued to dominate and Bywater made a fantastic save to keep out Heffernan just inside the last ten minutes.

Derby had a few rare chances at the Rovers goal, Teale hit his shot straight at Sullivan, a terrible clearance by Sullivan fell to Savage but he blazed wide.
Chris Porter came closest when his effort came back off the bar.ed

Rovers battled to the end to claim all three points and their first double of the season.
