Doncaster Rovers boss Dean Saunders says the club have secured a deal to sign on loan striker Iain Hume.

The 29 year old joined Rovers on loan until the New Year from Preston North End on transfer deadline day in August.

Saunders says a deal to bring the Canadian international is now in place.

Speaking on the Doncaster Rovers official website , Saunders said, “We`ve secured a deal for Iain Hume.

“We`ve just got to dot the I`s and cross the T`s, it`s not 100% over the line yet but we`ve agreed in principle that he`s going to stay with us.”

Hume has made 19 appearances so far during his loan spell netting 4 times.

The experienced striker has made over 400 career appearances since making his debut for Tranmere Rovers in 2000.
