Doncaster Rovers boss Paul Dickov could give a place in the squad to fit again Marc De Val Fernandez for the trip to Reading on Saturday.

The midfielder hasn`t played since suffering a knee injury in pre-season but he came through 45-minutes for the reserves against Hartlepool United earlier this week.

Rovers have lost on loan striker Federico Macheda who has returned to parent club Manchester United after suffering a hamstring injury in Rovers last game against Leicester City before the international break.

Harry Forrester is still a couple of weeks away from a return whilst Jamie McCombe and James Husband are sidelined long-term.

Reading could welcome back former Rovers striker Billy Sharp to the squad after he missed their last game against Burnley with a groin injury.

Mikele Leigertwood, Royston Drenthe, Danny Williams, and Garath McCleary could also be in line for a recall after recent injuries.

Jem Karacan and Jason Roberts remain on the sidelines through injury.
