Doncaster Rovers boss Darren Ferguson says he will have both Luke McCullough and Alex Kiwomya available for the trip to Portsmouth next weekend.

The pair are yet to kick a ball in the first team this season after being ruled out during pre-season but the pair have now come through a number of development games and Ferguson says both will be available for the trip to Fratton Park.

“Both Luke and Alex will be available next weekend,” Ferguson told BBC Radio Sheffield.

“It is a bonus Luke being back. He played today (Saturday) for 90 minutes and he was outstanding in the game so I am delighted with him.”

McCullough played the 90 minutes for Doncaster in their latest development game on Saturday, his third appearance in the last two weeks, whilst Kiwomya featured for a second time.

Their return comes at a good time for Doncaster having lost Andy Butler, Mathieu Baudry, Joe Wright and Issam Ben Khemis in the past week with long-term injuries. Doncaster already have Danny Andrew and Andy Williams on the sidelines with long-term injuries with Andrew already ruled out for the season.
