Doncaster Rovers boss Dean Saunders can pick from strength for the clash at Oldham Athletic on Boxing Day.

David Cotterill, and David Syers returned to training last week and have had an extra few days to return to fitness after their weekend game with MK Dons was lost to the weather.

Martin Woods is once again a doubt after suffering a setback in his return from injury.

Defender Jamie McCombe is also pushing for a starting place after recently returning from injury.

Oldham will be without Robbie Simpson who starts his suspension following his sending off in the defeat at Yeovil on Saturday.

The Latics also have to do without striker Matt Derbyshire who recently returned to Nottingham Forest after coming to the end of his loan at Boundary Park.

The striker netted twice when the two sides met in the FA Cup earlier this month.

Goalkeeper Alex Cisak sat out the 4-1 defeat at Yeovil on Saturday after suffering concussion in the home defeat to Swindon the previous Saturday.

The keeper will be hoping to return to the side in place of Dean Bouzanis who started on Saturday. Bouzanis returned to the squad following a three-match suspension for his sending off at Doncaster towards the end of November.
