James O`Connor will miss the rest of the season after requiring surgery on an injured ankle.

Defender O`Connor has been having injections to try and overcome the problem but the club have decided to put him under the knife after no signs of recovery.

Rovers are already without Brian Stock and James Coppinger for the rest of the season with the side still needed another win to really ensure safety in the Championship.
