Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O`Driscoll has denied that the club have made a £1 million bid for Leeds want away striker Jermaine Beckford.

Rovers assistant manager Richard O`Kelly said last week that the club were monitoring the situation surrounding Beckford but O`Driscoll was quick to deny the club are after him.

O`Driscoll speaking in the Doncaster Free Press said ‘It would be nice to have that kind of money to spend.’

Rovers have yet to sign any players during the summer break although they reportedly had a bid turned down for another Leeds player Neil Kilkenny.

The club have also turned down offers for Matt Mills and Richie Wellens already this summer and Brian Stock is another who is being linked with Premiership and Championship clubs.

With most clubs not yet back from their summer breaks I am sure there will be a lot more goings on once July arrives.
