Doncaster Rovers have been dealt a blow with the news that Jamie McCombe could be out for the rest of the year.

McCombe was forced to miss the weekend`s game with Shrewsbury Town after suffering with a thigh injury recently. Scans on the injury have shown that he also has a small fracture in his spine.

The defender, who signed for Rovers in the summer from Huddersfield Town, had been an ever present in the side since signing in August.
