Doncaster Rovers continued their build-up ahead of the 2017/18 season with a 2-0 win at Tadcaster Albion.

Second half goals from Gary McSheffrey and a fourth in two games from Liam Mandeville made sure Doncaster made it two wins from two games in pre-season.

Manager Darren Ferguson once again used his squad, with three trialists included in the side.

Andy Williams came closest to opening the scoring in the first half but he saw his effort pushed onto the post by the Tadcaster goalkeeper.

Doncaster went ahead on 56 minutes when McSheffrey found space at the back post to fire home. The experienced winger is currently just training with the club after being released at the end of last season.

Mandeville doubled the lead from the penalty spot on 71 minutes as he continued his good start to pre-season.
