Doncaster Rovers summer signing Mathieu Baudry will miss the start of the season after undergoing surgery.

Baudry, who joined the club from Leyton Orient this summer, has undergone surgery on an Achilles injury.

In other injury news, Gary McSheffrey is not expected to return for up to two weeks through injury.

Paul Keegan is training again after overcoming a thigh strain and Joe Wright should be fit for the clash with Newcastle United on Tuesday July 19th after missing the opening pre-season game against Rossington Main with a groin injury.

Defender Luke McCullough is to return to training this week after returning from his belated break after being on international duty with Northern Ireland at the European Championships this summer.

Doncaster are back in action this Saturday when they welcome Premier League side Middlesbrough to the Keepmoat.
