Doncaster Rovers reserve keeper Ben Smith is looking for another loan spell away from the Keepmoat Stadium when the transfer window reopens in January.

Speaking in the Sheffield Star Smith said ‘I’d like to go out on loan again somewhere early in the New Year if the situation remains the same at the club. I’m not really bothered where I go except I still want to be playing in the Football League.

Smith made a rare appearance for Rovers on Saturday when he replaced the injured Neil Sullivan for the last ten minutes.

The 23 year old as just enjoyed a successful loan spell at League Two side Morecambe making three appearances during a month`s loan and he now wants more regular first team football.

The former Newcastle youngster has made only two starts this season, both in the Carling Cup.

Smith joined Rovers in 2006 and enjoyed a good spell in the side making eighteen appearances before the arrival of regular keeper Neil Sullivan.
