Young goalkeeper Louis Jones says he is open to extending his loan deal with Gainsborough Trinity.

Jones has joined the non-league side until September 10th and he marked his debut on Saturday with a clean sheet against Nuneaton.

The 18-year-old, who was around the first team squad last season, is now third choice at Doncaster behind Ian Lawlor and Marko Marosi and he is open to extending the deal if things go well.

“If it keeps going like it is, then definitely,” Jones told the Gainsborough Trinity YouTube Channel.

“There is nothing to stop me, Gainsborough or Doncaster from extending the deal.”

Jones was interviewed after the game on the Gainsborough Trinity YouTube Channel.

Gainsborough picked up Jones after impressing for Doncaster against the non-league side in a pre-season friendly.
