Young goalkeeper Jonathan Maxted has joined Gainsborough Trinity on loan.

The 19 year old has signed for the Blue Square North Conference side on a one-month loan deal.

Maxted has been an unused substitute for Rovers on a number of occasions in the past twelve months and the move to Gainsborough will give him the opportunity of some first team experience.

The youngster joined Goole Town on loan in September but had his loan spell cut short after just two games following an injury to Neil Sullivan.

The youngster will replace former Rovers goalkeeper Jan Budtz, who had to return to Denmark at the weekend for personal reasons.

Maxted will go straight into the squad for their next league fixture at Boston united this weekend.
