Doncaster Rovers injury jinx continues with the news that James O`Connor and Martin Woods are expected to miss the start of the season.
O`Connor is expected to be out for between four and six weeks with a cartilage problem, although it is unclear yet whether he will require surgery.
Woods injury problems continue. The midfielder missed over half of last season through injury and he requires surgery on a hip injury.
Rovers have had a terrible run with injuries since the turn of the year. At one stage, they had fourteen senior players on the treatment table.
The club will already definitely be without Brian Stock (ankle), James Chambers and Adam Lockwood (both knee) who have all had surgery and are not expected to return before the end of September at the earliest.
Steve Brooker is out of contract at Rovers, but may remain at the club, will also miss the start of the season after undergoing ankle surgery at the end of last season.
Paul Keegan, Gary Woods, Shelton Martis and George Friend all finished last season on the sidelines but will hopefully be back for the start of the season.
