Doncaster Rovers have been dealt a blow with the news that Pascal Chimbonda will be missing for around a month through injury.

The defender picked up a hip injury in the Ipswich Town game before the international break and was forced to miss the trip to Barnsley last Saturday.

Doncaster Rovers boss Dean Saunders is hoping to have Chimbonda back to play some part in the busy festive period.

Chimbonda signed a short-term deal with Doncaster in October, keeping him at the Keepmoat Stadium until January.

The experienced defender had featured five times for Rovers before the injury
