Doncaster Rovers boss Darren Ferguson says he expects goalkeeper Ian Lawlor will be fit in time for the top of the table clash against Plymouth Argyle next weekend.
Lawlor, who joined Doncaster from Manchester City in January, was forced off at half time in the 4-1 win at Leyton Orient on Saturday and Ferguson is optimistic he will be fit next weekend.
“He felt his groin and it was getting worse so he couldn`t really kick,” Ferguson told BBC Radio Sheffield .
“Marko came on and he was a bit rusty but he did fine as he didn`t have much to do.
“We will look at Ian, hopefully he will be ok for next Sunday.
“I am optimistic he will be fine. I think it is just a little niggle in his groin. I don`t anticipate him being out next week.”
Marko Marosi replaced Lawlor in goal on Saturday. Marosi was making his first appearance since suffering an injury against Portsmouth in January. The Slovakian had made the number one shirt his own this season and he had been in fine form until his injury.
