Doncaster Rovers have extended the loan of striker Iain Hume from Preston North End until the end of the season.

Rovers boss Dean Saunders indicated last week that the club were close to agreeing a deal to keep the 29 year old Canadian international at the Keepmoat and he confirmed a deal had been done after the win at Oldham Athletic on Boxing Day.

Hume joined Rovers from Preston on transfer deadline day in August and he made his debut at Yeovil Town the following day.

He has made 20 appearances for Rovers since his arrival and he has scored four goals.
