According to reports, Doncaster Rovers are being linked with a move for Leeds United striker Ramon Nunez.
The Honduran international has recently been placed on the transfer list at Elland Road after struggling to become a regular following the arrival of Neil Warnock in February.
Rovers saw the qualities Nunez has to offer first hand last season when his two goals, both good strikes from outside the area, earned Leeds a 2-1 win in the Carling Cup at the Keepmoat back in August.
His early season form for Leeds, where he netted five times in the first six games of the season earned him a new deal with the club until the summer of 2015.
He failed to score again for Leeds after his two goals against Rovers with most of his appearances coming from the substitute`s bench as he slipped down the pecking order.
Nunez made just three appearances for Warnock following his arrival, with only one of these being a start.
The 26 year old enjoyed a short loan spell with Scunthorpe United towards the end of the 2010/11 season when he netted three times in eight games for the championship strugglers.
Rovers boss Dean Saunders is yet to announce his retained and released list this summer with a number of players out of contract.
He has also stated that he is likely to have to sell some of the high earners still in contract as he reduces the wage bill and he says that he is unlikely to start signing new players until the squad has been trimmed ahead of life in League One next season.
