caster Rovers out of favour striker Paul Heffernan would like a loan move away from the club according to reports on SkySports.

Paul Hart, Heffernan`s agent speaking on SkySports said, ‘I have spoken to Sean about a possible loan move for Paul. Sean understands Paul’s situation and we are working to try and find a compromise. Paul wants to be playing regular first-team football and he feels a loan move offers him the best chance of getting that. We will see what offers come in and then decide what to do.’

The 27 year old is once again dropping down the pecking order at the Keepmoat with James Hayter and Billy Sharp the preferred duo in attack this season.

Heffernan has so far made just the two starts this season, this after he finished top scorer last season with ten goals from just twenty one starts.

The Irish striker joined Rovers in 2005 and has netted fourty four goals for the club in just ninety six starts.
