Doncaster Rovers goalkeeper Ross Turnbull has made his comeback from injury in the reserve team game at Scunthorpe United on Tuesday afternoon.

Rovers regular number one this season hasn`t featured since suffering a calf injury in January and he completed 90 minutes on his comeback as Rovers won 4-0 thanks to goals from Theo Robinson (2), Chris Whincop and Lewis Ferguson.

Young Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone has deputised for Turnbull since the injury and he remains on loan at the Keepmoat Stadium until the end of the month.

Johnstone has been impressive since his arrival from Old Trafford at the end of January and the club are in safe hands and have no need to rush Turnbull back into first team action.
