Kevin McDonald who was in negotiations with Doncaster Rovers last week will line up against them for Sheffield United this evening.

Rovers boss Sean O`Driscoll reported last week that the club were talking to McDonald, after the 22 year old had spent the first three weeks of pre season at the Keepmoat.

The midfielder who was released by Burnley at the end of last season has now moved across South Yorkshire and is having a trial with Sheffield United.

Rovers used eight trialists at Carlisle United at the weekend but have rumoured to have whittled down the numbers as they go into their penultimate pre season friendly this evening.

The pre season campaign will finish this Friday when Rovers travel to Blundell Park to face Grimsby Town.
