Former Doncaster Rovers midfielder Martin Woods is training with Scottish Premier League side St Johnstone.

The midfielder has been without a club since being released by Rovers at the end of last season and he has already had unsuccessful trials with both Chesterfield and Bristol City.

The 27-year-old is looking to resurrect his career after a struggling with injuries at the Keepmoat Stadium during his six-year stay with Rovers.

He made just 39 appearances in his last three seasons at the Keepmoat as a number of injuries including groin and hip that saw him undergo surgery.
